Convention & Event Facility Post-Construction Cleaning
Final cleaning for convention center, exhibit hall, ballroom and event-venue construction — very large floor plates on immovable event dates.
Final cleaning for convention center, exhibit hall, ballroom and event-venue construction — very large floor plates on immovable event dates.
Convention and event facilities present a cleaning problem defined by two things: the sheer size of the floor plate, and a completion date set by a contract signed months or years in advance. Exhibit halls are measured in hundreds of thousands of square feet, and the date the first show moves in is not negotiable.
That combination means crew sizing and phasing are the entire game. We scope by area and by zone so completed halls can be released to show management while adjacent space is still finishing, and we plan crew numbers against the handover sequence rather than against a single completion date.
Exhibit halls and ballrooms have high ceilings with exposed structure, rigging points, catwalks and suspended services that collect construction dust. Whether high-level cleaning is in scope changes the job substantially — it requires lift access, coordination with the rigging and AV trades, and a separate line in the estimate.
We state clearly during estimating whether elevated work is included and at what height, because this is the single most common source of scope disagreement on this building type.
Exhibit-hall floors are usually sealed or polished concrete with specific manufacturer requirements for initial cleaning; ballrooms and pre-function areas run to carpet, stone and specialty finishes that need individual methods. Meeting rooms are numerous and repetitive, closer to a guest-room exercise in character.
Pre-function space frequently carries the property's highest-specification finishes — feature lighting, architectural glass, stone and metals — and finishes last, immediately before the event.
Nevada has one of the largest concentrations of convention and event space in the world, centered on Paradise and Winchester near the Las Vegas Strip, with substantial additional capacity attached to resort properties in Las Vegas, Henderson, Summerlin South, Laughlin and Mesquite, and in Reno and Sparks in the north.
Because so much of this space sits inside operating resorts, construction and cleaning are usually phased around a live event calendar, with hard separation from areas in use and access routes agreed with the property in advance.
We do not provide event-turn cleaning between shows, ongoing operational cleaning, debris hauling, trade repairs or remediation. Our scope is the construction-completion clean before the facility is handed to operations.
